Amy Madden

Amy Madden is one of the main characters and the main protagonist of The Villains of Valley View. She is a supervillain, posing as an ordinary girl. Her supervillain name is Havoc. Like the rest of her family, besides Vic until Power Struggle, Amy has superpowers and is a full blown villain. After destroying Onyx, she briefly became the Supreme Leader of All Villains.

Amy is portrayed by Isabella Pappas.

Biography

Amy is the only daughter of Eva and Vic Madden. Her siblings are Jake, and Colby. Amy was born and raised in Centropolis when their family was still active supervillains. Eventually, the Maddens moved to Valley View to live a normal life.

Personality

Amy Madden is impulsive, brave, and rough around the edges; by her own admission, she cares for little else beyond herself and her family, although she quickly learned to care for Hartley and became highly protective of her alongside her family. Hartley has described her as a sociopath although Amy has proven that, despite her villainous nature, she is not a sociopath and is soft, kind and helpful when she chooses to be, traits that Hartley tries to nurture in Amy.

Family

Jake Madden / Chaos

Jake is Amy's brother who has super strength. Jake is always encouraging his sister to be good and not user her superpowers for bad. After an argument about her secret identity with Hartley, Amy inadvertently causes Jake to send Hartley into another dimension. And when Jake comes through the portal and uses his super strength to break another hurtling rock, Amy tries to blame their supervillain revelation on him. Their relationship was put to the test during Battle for My Brother when she discovered that he was meeting up with her nemesis, Starling and she was so hurt that she disowned him as her brother. In Unleash the Chaos, Jake earned her forgiveness when he proved his loyalty to her, though Amy still disliked the bond between her brother and arch enemy.

Colby Madden / Flashform

Colby is Amy's younger brother, and the youngest sibling. He also takes on the title of "The Chosen One", though some moments in some episodes discredit this.

Vic Madden / Kraniac

Vic is Amy's dad who isn't known to have any superpowers until Power Struggle besides the fact that he is a mad scientist. In "Finding Another Dimension", he mistakenly temporarily trapped Amy in another dimension, until Jake came to save her (and Hartley).

Eva Madden / Surge

Eva is Amy's mom whose superpower is being able to shoot lightning at an enemy.

Hartley is Amy's first friend. Amy is very reluctant to become friends with Hartley, due to her lively spirit. When Hartley comes to visit Amy at her house, Amy slams the door in her face before Jake lets her in the house. Once inside, Hartley tells Amy that she is an honorary member of the Sunshine Club, since they're friends. After an argument about her secret identity and the fact that Hartley apparently idolizes Starling whom Amy greatly dislikes as Havoc, Amy inadvertently causes Jake to send Hartley into another dimension. Amy eventually decides to go into the dimension and save Hartley and when a rock comes hurtling toward them, Amy uses her sonic blast to break the rock into pieces. She realizes what she's done and tries to explain, but Hartley tells her that she knew she looked familiar. Hartley asks Amy how she could betray and lie to her as she thought they were friends, to which Amy tells her that she's a villain and even though she's "Amy" on the outside, she's still Havoc on the inside and she's only ever cared about herself and her family. However, Amy has grown very protective of her best friend, especially after meeting Hartley's tormentor, Gem.

Powers and Abilities

Primary Powers
  • Acoustokinesis: The ability to manipulate sounds and sound waves. She can emit sound waves that can destroy objects, they may be able to target certain objects so that only they are destroyed.
    • Sound Attacks: She can create blasts of energy. These blasts are strong enough to destroy objects.
      • Sonic Deviation: She is able to use her sonic blast to redirect energy-related attacks of other beings back on the path of emanation.
      • Sonic Scream: Amy has the ability to generate a sonic scream that is powerful enough to break through concrete.
    • Sonic Propulsion: Amy can use sound waves to lift herself through the air and levitate.
    • Sonic Augmentation: Amy can use sonic waves to enhance other powers'
    • Sonic Bonds: Amy can manifest circular constricting bands of sonic energy, which exist as long as she concentrates on them.
    • Sonic Frequency Altering: The ability to create and alter the sonic frequencies to control or disrupt things.
      • Molecular Acceleration: Amy can accelerate molecules that she believes can fuse/melt metal by singing different notes.
      • Sonic EMP: Amy can use her sonic power to disable/destroy nearby technology capable of receiving audio signals.
      • Sonic Frequent Earthquake: Amy can use sound waves to cause earthquake like motions.
    • Vocal Manipulation: Amy can manipulate her vocal cords to mimic other people's voices and make different sound effects.
      • Sonic Hypnosis: Amy can use ultrasonic waves to subject people to suggestions. She can use this power to overcome other hypnotic powers. She is capable to record her hypnosis, which could replicate it.
Temporary Powers
  • Kinetic Energy Manipulation/Kinetic-Telekinesis: In Power Hungry, Colby used his Transference power to give her the ability to kinetic energy to affect the direct atomic motion of matter/energy in which she used to pull and push Jake to and from her.
Abilities
  • Hand-to-Hand Combat: As shown in many episodes, even without her powers, Amy is an extremely skilled hand-to-hand combatant - best demonstrated in her one-to-one battles with Starling and Shadow. She was also able to take down the karate instructor in Dojo Mojo without really trying.
  • Enhanced Agility: Amy has shown on many occasions to be a proficient acrobat - often doing flips in her fights. In No Escape, she was able to dodge multiple blasts of Oculon's heat vision.
Weaknesses
  • Screaming: When she attempts to scream to loud, it triggers her Sonic abilities.
  • Impulsiveness: Amy can be quite hot-headed and often act with thinking about the consequence - biggest example was when she attacked Onyx after he insulted her family and this lead to Onyx forcing the family on the run.
  • Sickness: Like the rest of her family, if Amy gets sick, it could lead to her powers glitching.

Trivia

  • Amy despises Starling because she beat her in a fight that the whole world knows about, because Jake created a meme of a defeated Havoc, and posted it on the internet. However, they have since grown closer, and currently agree to consider themselves frenemies.
  • She and Hartley formed a singing duo called Happiness of Death, later renamed Mad Hart.
  • She is similar to Alex Russo from the old Disney Channel series Wizards of Waverly Place in that she is the central character, often acts irresponsible with her powers, contrasts with her more cheerful best friend, and has two brothers, one older and one younger.
